Cliff Structure

Program

A dwelling protruding from the side of a rocky mountain cliff at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley.

Concept

The building's form is determined by its structure, in order for the dwelling to extend out from the side of the cliff. Its structure was analyzed and further developed, and its members were sized as part of the project.
